受信メールの大半を占めるスパムメール。
多い日には 100 通以上来ることも少なくありません。
もちろんこんなスパムメールは
職人が一文字一文字丁寧に打鍵しているわけではなく、
専用のスパムメールツールが出回っていて
半自動で作成していると思われます。

先日こんなメールが届きました。

Hi there,
You may have accidentally received an email from our international team 
yesterday. We hit the brakes and stopped it from sending out to our whole list, 
but we know some of you received this email. Please ignore this mail or choose 
to delete it if you believe you are not supposed to receive this email.
Here's what happened:
We operate in nine languages and sometimes communication can be difficult and 
mistakes such as this can be made. For as often as we send %{5number}% emails,  
we're proud this is the first time it's happened. We apologize for this 
inconvenience.
This email was sent on behalf of eBay and was authorized accordingly.

この %{name}% には本来差出人の名前を
入れるべきだったんでしょうが
ツールの設定を間違えたようですね。

こういう分かりやすいのはいいのですが、
紛らわしいメールも多数存在します。
基本、変なメールは開かない、リンクも踏まない。
を徹底しましょう。
理想は HTML ではメールを見ないようにすると安全です。
